Priorities

I am at the end of my first full week at my new school and in love with my students, tripping about how some things never change administratively, and vaguely overwhelmed about the assignments for the first unit.

Pandemically speaking, so far, so good. A few students became ill before classes began and are home. The majority of students in the district returned to classes and are masked up. We remind those with the mask below their noses to pull them up. No problem.

A friend posted the following picture on her Facebook feed. Somehow, having to contend with masks seem small. I’ve got not words. Do you?

This year is dedicated to the girls who won’t get an education.

Let’s do this people.
